Welcome from the Headmaster

On behalf of us all at St. Augustine’s I am delighted to welcome you to our school and website. You will be able to find out all about us through browsing this site but you can find out even more by visiting the school and looking around for yourselves.  As well as Open Evenings and Open Mornings we want to encourage all families to come in and play a full part in their children’s education.

We are blessed with an excellent team of teachers and teaching assistants together with a very effective Governing Body that make education here a really enjoyable experience. Pupils achieve really highly here and in the last three years St. Augustine’s has gained the highest levels of performance at GCSE in our part of the county. Indeed some of our pupils have gained national recognition for the standards they have reached.

‘Faith Development’ and ‘High Achievement’ are the two key objectives that underpin all that we do.  We also recognise that developing pupils’ literacy to the highest levels possible, together with providing ample opportunity for public performance of their learning, leads to highly motivated and engaged learners.

Therefore, we want pupils to look back over their time with us with fond memories and recognition that they have had a fantastic five years as preparation for their adult lives.

My open invitation to you is to come and meet with me and our school and see it for yourself.

 Mr. J. Echevarría

St Augustines is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.
