Based in St Augustine’s RC school, Scarborough, we are part of a network of professionals concerned with the well-being and educational progress of children and young people from minority ethnic groups, including Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities as well as speakers of languages other than English.
We fulfil a range of roles:
Specialist Teachers
Advanced Teaching Assistants
Parents Support Advisors
Administration staff
Community Cohesion Workers
Senior Local Authority Officers.
Most of our Staff are based in a local Minority Ethnic Achievement (MEA) Hub School, which provides support, training and advice to staff in the local school area, There are six Hub Schools around North Yorkshire.
