During Advent, the pupils and staff have been journeying through the season together.
On Tuesday 11th December at St Peter’s Church, our Chaplain, Fr. Gubbins, pupils and staff led the parish in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Advent readings and reflection, written by the pupils. Parents, parishioners, pupils and staff, came together to spend quiet, prayerful time with our Blessed Lord. One parent commented that it was “Good to spend time with God, peacefully and away from all of the chaos in the run up to Christmas!”

Our Advent Campaign 2018 has been in support of the work of The Molly and Paul Foundation (Pearl of Africa) and has seen pupils in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 take part in a sponsored Silence during Tutor Time on Wednesday 12th December.

Also, Catholic Life Team pupils have been selling raffle tickets at break times for our Grand Christmas Chocolate Raffle, which will be drawn and winners announced during the last week of term. All of the chocolate has been kindly donated by Year 11 pupils, staff and Governors, for which we thank them.
It has been a very busy, productive season and the school term will end with Carols and Readings and Prayers on the final morning of term.

The school community wishes everyone a peaceful and joyful Christmas and New Year.
