As part of our Careers, Education, Information, Advice & Guidance (CEIAG) programme we will be holding a Careers Day on Friday 26 June 2015.
The morning will involve Year 10 students taking part in four different workshops delivered by staff from local employers. The content will include CV Building, Interview Techniques and Employability Skills.
In the afternoon students will have the chance to visits stands provided by numerous employers, colleges and training providers; this is in the style of a traditional careers fair and will enable the students to ask questions regarding qualifications, skills, the job plus anything they wish! The visitors will include North Yorkshire Police, NHS, York Potash, McCain and many more.
We will be opening the careers fair to Year 8 and 9 as well as Year 10. We are inviting parents to come along to give you the opportunity to find out information/ask any questions you may have regarding your son/daughter’s future progression routes and career options.
The timings are as follows:
Year 10 students and parents – 1.20pm – 2.20pm
Year 9 students and parents – 2.20pm – 2.50pm
Year 8 students and parents – 2.50pm – 3.20pm
