A ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ was held on Wednesday 9th December to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice and the Depression and Bi Polar Support Alliance.
Staff and students from all years were invited to wear a festive jumper instead of their usual school jumper for the day.
James Riley (pictured above) in year 7 went one step further and also completed a sponsored silence which added a further £25 to the money raised for St Catherine’s. He came up with the fundraising idea after being inspired by his friend, Ethan Doubtfire, who organised a cake sale for St Catherine’s. Wednesday 9th December was also Christmas Lunch day in school and staff and students enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner.
