Key Stage 3

PSHE is taught during tutor time in Years 7, 8 and 9 with students following the topics outline below.

Autumn: Health and Wellbeing

  • Personal strengths and weaknesses
  • Making positive choices
  • Taking and managing risks
  • Anti-bullying
  • Social and media pressures
  • Legal and illegal substances

Spring:

Summer:

Students also receive drop-down sessions on the following:

  • British Values (Year 7)
  • Puberty (Year 8)
  • First Aid and CPR (Year 9)

 

Key Stage 4

Students in year 10 receive one timetabled lesson of PSHE a fortnight, following the programme of study as outlined below.

  • Legal and Illegal Substances
  • First Aid

Autumn 2: Citizenship – Parliament
