The St. Augustine’s annual Summer Serenade took place to a full house of over 400 at Westborough Church. The concert was the last of the year featuring all the ensembles, Orchestra, Junior Jazz Band, SAJO (St. Augustine’s Jazz Orchestra), Junior Choir, Senior Choir and Mixed Voice Choir. The mixed Voice choir featured pupils, ex pupils, staff and parents who sang a medley of Les Miserables songs which received a standing ovation.

Awards were also given out for commitment to the department, performance and improvement over the five years which went to Darcie Defreitas, Jemima Whyte and Alice Howard. Mr Barron said “What a concert. The ensembles just keep getting better, it was a truly fantastic evening. Many parents hailed it as the best concert to date. I am so proud once again to be part of this amazing music family.”

The music department is currently in Croatia with 95 pupils to play four concerts around the Istrian region.
