The girls had their first U14 match of the season against Scalby. A new team with the Year 8s coming up to play with the year 9s, with captain Sandra Kukurowska. The girls lost 4-1 but the score does not reflect how hard they worked. There was excellent defence by Isabelle Handley, Imogen Linsley and Lucy Eke with Eliza King and Mia Swalwell pushing the ball up front. After being 2 – 0 down in the first half, Eliza King scored a goal just before half time.

The girls played exceptionally well and continued to fight for the ball right through to the final whistle, a really enjoyable fixture to attend.

Woman of the match voted by the Scalby team – Sandra Kukurowska.
