GCSE Drama students visited two local primary schools recently as part of their Theatre in Education coursework unit. The students from Year 10 performed plays with a Christmas message to children at St Peter’s Primary and St George’s Primary School.

Drama teacher Miss Price said: “everyone did very well and the children really enjoyed themselves. This was the first public performance for many of the GCSE students who were naturally very nervous, but they all did brilliantly.”

The Christmas plays performed were all devised by the students themselves and featured creative and imaginative characters such as Banta Clause (Santa’s evil twin played by Amy Pugh), Mrs Flanagan (the nasty Orphanage owner, played by Chandler Davis), and two very unprepared elves, played by Brandon Lino and Elliott King.
