Friday 3rd October 2014 was  Harvest Fast Day and in order to raise funds for CAfOD, a number of soup lunches have been held for staff and students alike..

CAfOD is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, and part of Caritas international., Across the world they work with some of the  poorest and most vulnerable  people in over sixty countries,   tackling poverty and injustice.

This year we have selected to send all of our donations to support of the crisis in Syria where millions of people are in desperate need of aid.

A fantastic £561.63 was raised in total by students, (year 11 raised£148.39, year 10 raised £122.21, year 9 raised £113.50, year 8 raised £72.00 and year 7 raised £105.63) who voluntarily gave up their school dinners for had a cup of soup and a roll, prepared by Mr Siv and Bernie in food technology., using vegetables grown in the school garden.
